Coffee and chocolate have a lot in common:

They start with a bean, are grown at a similar latitude, and are roasted to bring out their flavor.  They are also both a complex tasting experience with a wide range of flavor compounds.   And they just so happen to be delicious when eaten together.  There are many ways to combine these two foods, but the easiest approach is simply to melt the chocolate directly in your coffee.  It may just be your new favorite taste sensation.

A few suggested pairings are:

  • Espresso and Dark Chocolate
  • Spicy Chocolates and Brazilian Roasts
  • Fruity Chocolates and Guatemalan Roasts

“Both coffee and chocolate have a variety of unique flavors, but when paired together they can create delicious combinations.”
